Updates!

AGH, sorry I'm been so MIA. Everything's  been extremely busy with my friend and I prepping our cosplays and the logistics for Otakon, an anime convention in Baltimore, MD that's NEXT WEEKEND. So exciteeeed. 8D

But anyways, that and my rediscovered tetris addition are why I've been seriously lacking in commenting and posting. I can't promise that I'll comment more often this week, since we're still prepping, but I swear I'll update all the contest info later this evening. (This evening because I'm off to Borders soon. It's closing, CRRRRYYY, but I'm not one to pass up a sale.) FYI, all contests will end this coming Friday, July 29th at 11:59EST. Again, more info coming soon. Really.

Have an awesome weekend! :)

forgive me?

Post of Win.

So, I got back from my IB Economics exam all worn-out, and my butt, back, and arms are sore from dragon boating yesterday. MUSCLES I DIDN'T KNOW I HAD, btw. But then salvation came in the form of a brown-uniformed man -- err, the UPS man -- who literally ringed the doorbell around half an hour ago (aka posting now because I've settled down a bit) with this lovely package:

.... [stealing a page from Sandy @ Pirate Penguin's Reads with this brief interlude]

.gif The Little Mermaid style! // source

(Can you recognize that scene from The Little Mermaid?) My day has just been made. Though I do wonder if those chocolate-covered espresso beans have any caffeine in them... *bounce bounce* :DDDD

Here's the summary of All These Things I've Done, which will be released by Farrar, Straus and Giroux on September 27th:
In 2083, chocolate and coffee are illegal, paper is hard to find, water is carefully rationed, and New York City is rife with crime and poverty. And yet, for Anya Balanchine, the sixteen-year-old daughter of the city's most notorious (and dead) crime boss, life is fairly routine. It consists of going to school, taking care of her siblings and her dying grandmother, trying to avoid falling in love with the new assistant D.A.'s son, and avoiding her loser ex-boyfriend. That is until her ex is accidently poisoned by the chocolate her family manufactures and the police think she's to blame. Suddenly, Anya finds herself thrust unwillingly into the spotlight--at school, in the news, and most importantly, within her mafia family.

Additionally, Kimberly Derting is offering the first (!) signed ARC of her upcoming dystopian novel The Pledge on Goodreads here (I previously featured it here). Yes, go. Now.

So, is it a day of WIN, or what? :)

Cover Reveal: The Scorpio Races

Maggie Stiefvater just revealed the US cover of her upcoming book, The Scorpio Races (posted with the UK cover on the right):

I think they give entirely different feels, with the US cover more epic fantasy and the UK one more lighthearted. Personally, I like the US version with its simplicity and the subtle texture in the background, and  the darker mood overall. While it seems to lean a bit toward adult covers, I actually like how the girl and the horse are just silhouettes, since faces and half-bodies on covers are a-dime-a-dozen (they're pretty but...). But, in the end, I just LOVE Maggie Stiefvater's lyrical prose and WANT WANT WANT.

Here's the short blurb on The Scorpio Races (releases October 18th):
"With her trademark lyricism, Maggie Stiefvater turns to a new world, where a pair are swept up in a daring, dangerous race across a cliff--with more than just their lives at stake should they lose".

Notes:
• Review and giveaway of OyMG coming in a couple hours because Blogger went down - and deleted all my edits to my review, grr.
• Leah Cypess week is coming next week! And so you see the banner I made for it up there. :D

Button Winner & Updates

... I noticed I have an annoying habit of titling my posts "A & B." But I can't help it -- I have a lot to say. I'm pretty sure I could talk all day when I'm "feeling" a topic. How do you restrain your titles to just "A" and not "B?"

Anyways, I'm still pretty braindead due to just arriving home from my college visiting trip, but I'm here! For the updates section, I'll definitely be posting less next week and in May due to the bane of my high school existence: standardized testing. I have quite a few giveaways and author interviews scheduled that hopefully you guys will enjoy, but that also means it'll be quieter next week as I arrange those while cramming like crazy. Most of the contests are U.S. only, but I'll be announcing an international followers contest next week. :)

Now, for the button winner (with my simple, new winner banner)...

Yan (#14)

Congrats, Yan! I'll email you soon. And even for those that didn't win, I'm glad you found them as humorous and uplifting as I did. <33

Signing off for now, but more info coming on IMMM this weekend! Perhaps even a vlog...

Commenting System Preference? & Notes

Edit// Javascript totally screws my layout over. Poll is now on sidebar, and I'll take it off in a few days.

A.S. Enter the contest for a $5 Amazon.com GC! :D

A.A.S. Sorry, I fail. I really do. I don't know where my head is these days, but I thought IMM was today and The Saturday Network tomorrow. So, I'll be switching the two around, and TSN will be tomorrow. The sad thing is, I've been so busy with school, I haven't had time to buy books. My mailbox is despairingly empty.

A.A.A.S. High school bloggers will be added on soon! Sorry I missed your comment, but I didn't know I had to approve some of them from IntenseDebate's admin page, grrr. Also sorry if I missed your comment on a different post too. :(

A.A.A.A.S. Editting my previous comment, I do know what I was thinking about: setting in stone my college visitations over spring break. Plans: Columbia, NYU, UPenn, Carnegie Mellon, University of Michigan. More details coming soon to high school bloggers (with resumed contact -- sorry I fail again), so that maybe we'll see each other?! That would be so effin' awesome beyond words.

(Sorry to annoy with all the antescripts. Perhaps I should include another for this comment...)

Now, finally, onto the real question at hand: as a commentator, which commenting system do you prefer? As a blogger that's tried IntenseDebate for a while, I still don't have any real feelings for it or against it. As a commentator... I'm kind of torn between IntenseDebate and blogger, as long as their is no word verification on the latter. Thus, since I sincerely hope this blog is enjoyable for YOU as well as me, I'd love to hear what you think! Though perhaps this poll will be helpful to other uncertain bloggers as well.

Thanks in advance for your input, me lovelies! ♥

... did you think I'd leave you hanging on the music front?

New Look -- Same Old Me

Why, hello there. I'll stop for a moment to let this sink in...
...
/end first failed attempt.

HELLO! In case you've forgotten, my name is Jenn and I'm the crazed owner of this blog who owes yet another apology for the extended hiatus. School has only gotten worse with the looming IB/AP/SAT tests, so I can't promise rigidly scheduled posts per se, but I will try my best. Before, I partially left because a regimented schedule made blogging began to feel like a chore - as much as I love you guys - and I'm now trying to return and renew that sense of excitement in being able to exchange thoughts and be heard. So my resolution is to loosen up in my self-imposed posting requirements (aka possibly spam with more personal or superficial issues that no one cares about) while squeezing in a review once or twice a week. Can I do it? YES, I CAN... maybe. :o

Some quick notes:
- I'll be reviewing Wither by Lauren DeStefano -- and possibly giving it away? Would anyone be interested? I haven't really been around in a while so I don't know how available the ARC is, though I have seem some controversial reviews floating around.
- Yes, new layout! I'm trying to go for something more elegant and classic as compared to the old one, so please, please tell me what you think. Anyone willing to prevent me from traipsing obliviously around with an unattractive blog design deserves my love and many cookies. ;)
- Finally, I've installed IntenseDebate, which should start with this post... It's the main reason I'm putting up a post despite the blog still being under construction, and my fingers are crossed that it'll work. Again, if you like the old system, do tell.

Anyways, I'm happy to be back - for real this time - and look forward to catching up to you guys soon. Know a NEEDTOREADTHISORDIE 2011 book that I've been missing out on? I'd love to hear about it. :D

Adieu for now, my wonderful blogosphere. (Random ARC's?)

Haha, now that's what I wished my birthday cake looked like...

I turned 16 yesterday, and who knew this year would be so different? I guess you guys can already guess what I'm going to say from the title, BUT IT BREAKS MY HEART. I really, really, REALLY didn't want to do this but with SATs, 5 AP tests, 2 IB tests, setting up other stuff this year, etc., it seems like I'll have to take a very extended leave. I absolutely love the blogosphere though, so I definitely hope to come back next year or maybe this summer. However, in the meantime, I suppose it's adieu for now... )':

I may post back periodically with some books I absolutely LOVE, but very rarely if at all. Gah, I know I kind of died out there with the last post, but here are just a few books I have that if you'd be willing to review, I'd be willing to pass along (all 2010 ARC's; sorry I got lazy with the authors):
- Trickster's Girl
- Hunger
- Crusade
- The Candidates: Delcroix Academy
- Stork
- Dead Beautiful
- The Mockingbirds
- Nightshade
- Beautiful Darkness

The official form this time is on the bottom. And I'll probably randomly draw a few people in a week or two and that'll be that. Only stipulation is that you pay for shipping fees, sorry! Open to anyone anywhere and, yes, that includes those invisible aliens on Mars. ;)

Also, just one thing that's keeping me super busy is a new organization my friends and I are currently setting up called Crafts4Change. It's currently still a group of high school and middle school clubs but we're working on it. If you're interested in supporting our cause, we just started selling SNSD (aka Girl's Generation) shirts today and all proceeds will either go towards donation to an international charity (TBA) or crafts-making sessions with children living in poor DC districts. You can purchase shirts HERE and visit our website here (still under construction). //end shameless promotion

So adieu for now my lovely bloggy friends and I hope to see you soon! Please don't forget little me. <33333

And... I'M BACK?!

So, do you still remember me? :)

Before I go on, I have to first start with the pre-requisite SORRY!! Gah, and I had August all planned out for my brilliant first blogoversary (which passed a little over a week ago) - but, alas. I still have some books that were mailed to me, so I'll definitely be promoting, and after I try to contact the authors who I got interviews from, giving away them in a two-week giveaway-fest. I'm a failure, sorry; but I'll try to make it up to you guys! I also have some reviews that I need to post for books I received in July...

So what basically happened is that from late July to almost all of August, I was in China volunteering. Our program was originally scheduled to take place in Shitai, Anhui but due to some intense flooding, the program was pretty much canceled a week before we planned to leave. *cue IMPENDING APOCALYPSE panic* The preparations for the trip had been going on for months, so we frantically scurried around during that last week, edited lesson plans, made new travel arrangements and such, and luckily found a new place in Linyi Shandong. No excuse, of course, but that's my life and I'll do a personal post sometime soon, in which I'll post some pictures. The students were great; the bathrooms - not so much.

Anyways, I can't fit everything into this post, unless I opted overload your brain with a two-page post. Like:
• how I finished Mockingjay two days ago and... ASKJDHER?!!!?!! (My thoughts exactly.)
• how I am a reasonable and reasonably-terrified driver that has yet to venture onto the all-conquering beast, THE INTERSTATE.
• how my graphite, 3g KINDLE 3, aka my first ereader, will be arriving on Thursday - so excited! :D
• how I'm a junior and therefore an official International Baccalaureate student with an incoming avalanche of homework (otherwise known as the "how will I manage my blog dilemma?" and definitely less commenting. :( )
• how I want to start a business now but am not sure what I should sell...
• how I feel like giving away some late 2010 ARCs if you would be willing to pay for shipping (more info soon if there's interest?)

As for the 700 followers and Shadow Hills swag contests, I picked winners before I left for the trip but never got around to announcing them. I'll make the official announcement soon.

Whew, so much to say, so little space. If YOU had something to say to me over the summer, please email me again! I had no internet access for 99% of my trip and I haven't quite gotten used to checking my email again... so it's not that I don't like you, I just didn't see you. Please email me, and I'll try to respond ASAP.

And that about wraps it up. I'm off to change my policy about ebook reviewing (Have I told you how PSYCHED I AM TO GET MY FIRST KINDLE?!!! Oh, right, I have. If you bought a Kindle 3, I'd love to hear about it!) and then to practice viola. I MISSED YOU GUYS and I'm looking forward to coming back to the blogosphere, though whether I'll be able to stay during the school year is a matter for another day. More posts coming soon to this blog near you! <33

ALA & BBAW: You, Me, and Them

Edit -- If you're an author, I'd also love to know so I can stop by!

So, it's decided. I'm going to the ALA Annual Conference on Sunday! I know it's no BEA, but I'm still excited for all the author signings. If you're going too, LET ME KNOW! I would love to see you there, and I won't do anything overly embarrassing. I think. That also means I'll be announcing my 700 followers contest AFTER ALA.

Also, a heads up for Book Blogger Appreciation Week registration., which is open from June 7th to July 7th. I still feel awkward with the “self-registration” concept but there are about three weeks left for registration – I might change my mind. If you’ve registered or are planning to, I’d love to know and wish you good luck! :)

So will I be seeing YOU at ALA? If you’re going, I’d love to talk about it with you, especially since I’m a book conference newbie in general. If you’re going on Sunday, we can tell each other our outfits (I identify outfits over faces) and possibly make plans to meet up and grab ARCs and author signatures together – I’m excited! Perhaps a little too excited, as you might be able to tell with my liberal use of exclamation marks, but I hope I’ll be able to meet some fellow bloggers there. Basically, EMAIL ME!! Or leave me a way to contact you please. :D

And this is sort of what I look like right now...

Winner: Everlasting & THANK YOU for 700!

Sorry for my "caps in the post title" trend of late, it's just me being excited. Perhaps TOO excited, but that's how I am (aka weird). I'm also sorry if I scared any of you with my Miley post yesterday (sorry poor commentor that said so)! I can get a bit carried away... sometimes... hehe. I swear I do not stalk unsuspecting children and kill them in their sleep. Really. I'm a bit disturbed that I need to confirm that.

ANYWAYS. On to lighter topics, we have the winner for Everlasting by Angie Frazier, which was an international contest thanks to Angie's awesomeness! So congrats to:

Bookaholic (from Bookaholics Oye!)

Thank you to everyone else that entered and if you didn't win, feel free to check out the CSN Stores giveaway! I only wish I had endless copies of Everlasting because I LOVED reading all of your responses to my question "Why do YOU think sailors are sexy?" - you guys made my day, haha. I cracked up so many times reading them. :D

Bookaholic's reponse was (chosen by random.org and incidentally a long response):
"Sailors are sexy because they sail on sea which is so beautiful by itself! And also sailors are strong with all the work they on board and because the sea is so moody, there is always death staring at the sailors! And they look at it right in the eyes! Sailors are indeed sexy with a capital S."
The most popular reponses were variations of "It's their uniform." and, one of my favorites:

"Popeye didn't eat all that spinach because it was delicious. He did it for the muscles. And, WOW, are those muscles sexy."
LOL. Though some of you expressed preferences for pirates (I can understand that) and a few didn't think sailors are sexy at all! Take a look at that picture of sailors and tell me it's not the least bit sexy. Or just go read Everlasting. ;)

For the thank you portion, a HUGE thank you to everyone who follows me! From my post here, you guys already know why you make my day. I can't fully express how I feel in words, so I hope you know how much your support means to me. It's amazing knowing that people actually want to read what little ME says. And, of course, I love reading what you say back - THANK YOU!

To soothe any fears, there will definitely be another international contest to celebrate the occasion, the prize just isn't quite determined yet. It's still not certain whether I'll be able to go to ALA, so once a decision has been reached (hopefully yes), I'll put up a contest. Keep an eye out in the next one-to-two weeks!

What's Up for This Week

Again, no review?! I know, I know. But I have two reviews scheduled for this week as well as an awesome author...

Leah Cypess! The awesome author of Mistwood, which she debuted with just a few days ago on April 27th.

Here's the schedule for those (hopefully all!) of you that are interested:

Monday - Introduction with teaser
Tuesday - GIVEAWAY! (We all love these, right?)
Wednesday - My review
Thursday - Interview
Monday, 5/10 - Guestpost and question time

If you noticed, there's a missing Friday because Leah can't make it that day, though that's understandable. Instead, I'll be reviewing Crossing by Andrew Fukuda and continue with the regular weekend posts before Leah pops back.

Anyways, that's basically it, and I hope you're as excited as I am! Especially because Mistwood is amazing for fantasy lovers out there. Let's just say those comparisons to Kristen Cashore's works are fairly true. And with that, I leave you with one parting video that my good friend showed me today...

Lol, I was completely wondering what the point of this video was until the end. (And they're famous Korean pop groups, by the way.)

Out of Hiding + Contest Reminder!

I'm back out of hiding! After a much-needed vacation, I came back to computer and internet problems - joy. Not. But now it's all resolved and I can get back on track with all my reviews and memes, so thank you everyone for sticking with me. As for the Inside Out post, I actually scheduled it for about a week ago, but it never went up...? Sorry for it being late, but it's up now. Come next week, I'll be posting a review of Inside Out soon along with some reviews of books in the Evernight series by Claudia Gray. I also took some pictures at Disney World, though I think only one of me (I hate taking pictures), so I'll post those sometime, maybe this weekend, too. :)

I also just wanted to use the opportunity to remind you to enter my 500 followers contest, which ends tonight.

I hope everyone's enjoying some cheery spring weather, and I'll get caught up soon - I promise!

Contest Reminders + Update

Just want to give a quick heads up about the giveaway for Explorer X-Alpha that ends tomorrow, and I've changed the ending date of my Some Girls Are contest to February 11th. It's not of much importance now, but I'm thinking of eliminating most extra entries for future contests, because I know I get annoyed by too many and you may too? I'll still be keeping quite a few extra entries for larger contests, but for smaller ones, not so much. Objections? State them now or forever hold your peace. (Suggestions are welcomed too.) ;)

Also, I haven't really been commenting for the past couple days because I'm busy, busy, busy, but I promise to catch up on all of your awesome blogs tomorrow! Thank you to everyone that's still been dropping by and leaving me interesting and awesome comments; I do read them! :D

The Saturday Network: Reminder & Sneak Peek

Hey guys! Sorry for only putting up one review this week (I've broken my resolution already), but it's been really hectic at school and such. I'll be putting some up next week though, so watch out for those! :)

For those of you that aren't yet aware of The Saturday Network, you can find information here.

Anyways, my main reason for posting is as a reminder that the first The Saturday Network is starting up tomorrow. I probably won't be up and on here that early, so I'm going to schedule the post for 9am EST. if you'd like your own personal notice, I'd be more than glad to email anyone or anything else you can think of. And thank you if you've spread the word! Also, as promised, a little sneak peek. The whole concept is to comment around the blogs so I made a little button to comment with. I'm not sure if it's too much of a hassle though, so tell me what you think and I can always take it off. However, it will help me check that people are actually commenting and allow me to gauge the success of the network, determining whether I should continue it.

Photobucket

Yep, there it is! Notice that the stars fade in and out - isn't that awesome?! I can't say that I made it though, and I ordered it from UnMistakeably Mist on Gaia Online. And just to ask again, would it be too much of a hassle to include this button everytime you comment on a blog? Please note the "too," because I understand that there might need to be a little hassle involved, sorry.

And I think that's it. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to comment here and I'll get back to you ASAP. I hope to see you back here tomorrow! :D

Changes Make My Blog Go Round - Opinions? :)

Edit-- Credit!! Forgot all about those crediting issues (like the airhead I am)! I tried to think of new and original aspects, but please tell me if you've seen these around and I'll be sure to give credit where it's due. And, likewise, I spent a lot of time thinking about these new changes, so I'd appreciate credit too. ALL MINE. *mwahahaha* ;)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So I've ended all my surveying and just want to say thank you again to everyone who filled it out! I had 54 responses, and they definitely got me thinking about what I could do to make my blog better - which turns out to be a lot. But I guess that's what they mean by there's always room for improvement.

Anyways, here's what's up with my blog in 2010! And, PLEASE, I would love any opinions or suggestions. It took my uncreative brain forever to even think of anything, so please tell me if something should be trashed or if you *gasp* like it? Here's the list:

1. Upcoming Releases - A little over half said that they'd love to see a list, so I'm making one. It's already up there in the navigation links, though I'm still filling it out. Looking sort of bare, but it'll be warm and cozy soon.

2. The Weekly Debate - Mondays only. I did the post "Visible Email Addresses - Do or Don't?" and was surprised to get a lot of responses! I have fun posting questions and reading your answers and some of you commented that a question encourages you to comments, so I've decided to do a question every Monday. It can range from blogging tips to the fact that Miley Cyrus is starring in Wings (ew?). I know I'm lacking in the "cool updates" section, so I'll try to occasional put up some recent news here for debating.

 3. The View on Thursday - Thursdays only. I'm still not exactly sure what I want to do here. I was thinking along the lines of either: 1) books being released the week after my post or 2) spotlighting covers of upcoming releases that come out whenever. Opinions?

4. Limiting Reviews and Increasing Interviews - Ahh, school, how you torture me. Alas, my schoolwork and college planning is starting to suffer because of blogging, so I'm having to restrict myself in 2010. I'll still be putting a lot of effort and time into blogging, it just means I'm going to limit myself to 2 reviews per week. On the other hand, I'm going to try increasing my author interviews to 1 interview per week; many people wanted to see more interviews, and I love doing them!! So it's a win-win situation.

Unfortunately, limiting might also mean less commenting. But that's why I'm introducing...

5. The Saturday Network - Or as I like to call it, Shameless Self-promoting Saturday! :D

What I'm going to try to do is a sort of comment-on-the-blog-above-yours, if that makes sense. I'll just put a post up with some instructions and perhaps some random ramblings, then you comment below with a link to your blog. The person who comments below you - let's call her Jane - then has to comment on your blog. Then John comes along, comments, and has to go comment on Jane's blog. And then Joe comes rambling along and you get the flow... You can comment around for as many times as you want, as long as you comment on the blog of the person above you. I'll also include a Mr. Linky for contests.

I don't know if this has been tried before (please tell me if it has) or if it'll work out, but I'm up for trying it. If that did not make any sense, since I know I tend to talk in circles, I'd be more than happy to explain it to you! If it sounds like a bad idea, please trash it before I embarrass myself.

I think that's it. So what do you think? Would you be interested in participating in any of these? :)

Survey: Reminder and Thank You! :)

Just got back home from vacation, so I'm just going to do a quick post. Here's just a reminder that if you haven't filled out the survey yet, I would love it if you would! I'll be taking it down and announcing a couple changes with my blog tomorrow. And a big thank you to everyone who already filled the survey out. You guys are a huge help! (The link to the survey is above, and it's another 3 entries for my 200 followers contest.)

Hope everyone's still feeling festive for the new year! :)

Sorry!!!

I'm so sorry that I didn't really manage to post in the past week!! We had to put on our play at school this weekend, so I've been sort of hectic sewing bonnets and aprons. Trust me, DO NOT ever put on a play revolving around puritans. All the colors, or lack thereof, sort of bleed together after a while... My eyes are dead.

Anyways, I'll be trying to catch up on reviews of the books I've still managed to read this week, aka:

Once a Witch
Forest Born
Betraying Season
Ballad

What books did you guys get? :)

New Layout! Opinions?

Okay, I think I have finally made up a background that I'm going to be sticking with for a while. There are still a couple minor additions I have to put on here, but this is basically it. I don't want to burn your eyes out in the near future, so please tell me if you see something that I could change to make it easier to navigate and/or look better! The points I'm mainly worried about and would love to get some feedback on are:

1) Music - I put on what I deemed "relaxing" music. However, I know that I'm not always in the mood for some music, and sometimes that's the first thing I turn off when I visit a blog. Is the music player easy to spot and in a place that you can quickly turn it off?

2) Sidebars - Arggh, I really had trouble deciding which order to put my contents in. Tell me please if you have any suggestions. Please.

3) Body Width - It's a bit wider. Any thoughts?

Thanks again for everyone's patience, and I hope it paid off! I'm sort of happy with how my blog looks, but I don't know. I'm pretty fickle. :)

-- And a quick shoutout to Rachel at Parajunkee's View, who made this gorgeous header! LOVE it.

Contest Reminder + Updates

Just a reminder that today is the last today to enter my First Books in Series contest! If you haven't entered yet and want to do so, please click here and leave your comment before 11:59 PDT tonight. I'm also having my 100 followers contest, so make sure to check that out too.

And on another note, I'll be messing around with my background and layout a bit, so don't be surprised it starts looking weird or something doesn't work. Please bear with me for the time being; I hope it'll be worth it. Thanks! :)

Edit -- Ah, this is what I wanted to post! I knew I forgot to post something, but I couldn't remember what!! I hate it when that happens, which is actually quite often unforunately.

I just wanted to say that I'll be adding a new cover rating and romance rater for each review from now on (tell me if you can think of a better name because I know those are lame). Some covers are simply to gorgeous and I have to comment on them, especially since I'm such a cover-maniac, and I know that I, personally, like to know how much romance is in a book, so I'll include that as well.

Also, I saw this idea over at Mindful Musings and thought it was great. Ocassionally, I'll go back and edit ratings that I look back at a few weeks after I post the review and think "oh! how'd it get __ rating?!" I'll mark those as revised rating with a +/- depending on whether the new rating goes up or down from the last one. It probably won't happen often, but keep an eye out for those changes! And I think that's really it.

This Week and Contest Notice

Sorry, I'm probably going to be slow in updates and such this week because I'm super busy and sick! But I promise I'll post at least the review of Devil's Kiss this week, and start the contest on Saturday (my birthday). If you have any suggestions for book or swag contests later this month, please tell me them!

In the meantime, you should check out Bree Despain's blog. In case you haven't heard of her, she's the author of The Dark Divine which is due out this December. She's hosting an awesome contest that ends tonight at 11:59PM and is giving away books like The Prophecy of the Sisters, Forest Born, and more. Check here for more info and to enter.

And I finished both Posion Study and Magic Study already because they were so addicting. I loved them, and if you haven't checked out Maria V. Synder's books yet, you definitely should! (:
