In My Musical Mailbox (24)

In My Mailbox was started by The Story Siren and inspired by Pop Culture Junkie.

What have I been doing this week? Why, two main things: 1) reading romance stories off Fiction Press (I have an unhealthy obsession with Lulai) and 2) renewing my kpop obsession and learning the dance to Stay by Mblaq. I don't know why, but I always learn guy dances (aka Lucifer by Shinee and Wedding Dress by Taeyang); girl kpop dances are just... *shudder* so girly.

That doesn't mean I'm good at dancing, by any stretch of the imagination, but I enjoy it and it gets me off my butt and moving. :)

Also, I'm sure many Hunger Games fans are already aware of this, but Jennifer Lawrence (from the movie Winter Bones) is playing Katniss. I can't really say much on the topic since I'd never heard of her prior to this announcement, but, as many of my fellow bloggers have been pointing out, she isn't exactly what I envisioned when I think Katniss. That better be a good hair dye.

So, for the actual IMM portion of this post, I only received on book this week...

A Need So Beautiful by Suzanne Young -- it's awesomeness totally makes up for my lack of books. She's such a fun writer, and I can't wait to see how she tackles a paranormal plot. The cover is GORGEOUS though, even more so in person. I think this win just about used up my luck for the month. Thanks again, Suzanne! :D

And finally, to leave off with my latest kpop song obsession:

Fan girl chant: Park Jung Min, Park Jung Min~ (Yes, he's from SS501.)
I'm happy because it's such an comforting and uplifting song. <333

Now, I'll stop boring you. What did you get this week? As per usual, leave me a link and I'll check it out!

Awesome! I'm really looking forward to reading that one - love Suzanne's books
ANSO looks so pretty, Urmm okay I don't get it - the guy in the first video is wearing glitter and the guy in the second song - eyeliner. Is that supposed to make them look more attractive? because it's so not working LOL. Catchy songs and dancing I have to say though :D

I KNOOOW. *o*

Haha, I kind of like my guys with guy-liner, though not in real life. I think it's just personal preference; Koreans seem to have a fetish with eyes (aka the double eyelid).
I have a pretty unhealthy obsession with K-Pop too!! I favour MBLAQ's 'Cry' song over 'Stay' though. I can listen to that song and watch the MV all day long! The dance of SHINee's Lucifer is really cool so I hope you're having a fun time learning it.

Have you been excited for Big Bang's comeback? I love their new mini-album!!! <3

Ohh, that one's good too! I'm tied between Cry and Stay, but I am NOT about to get down on the floor and pound it like they do in Cry, so I chose Stay. I learned Lucifer last year, though only up to the end of the first chorus. I get bored quickly... lol. Have you learned any?

And I'm actually a Big Bang semi-fan, as in I don't really have an opinion of them as a group but go song-by-song; I like Taeyang and G. Dragons' solos though. Tonight was kind of meh for me, hehe... Don't kill me. >_<
That's one of my favourite parts when they suddenly get down on the floor! And I LOVE the water sequences too!

Me? Learning the dances? *shakes head* I'm a pretty horrible dancer but I can sort of get the gist of some of the shorter, easier moves like parts of Super Junior M's "Super Girl", F.Cuz's "Jiggy", U-Kiss's "Man Man Ha Ni", T-ara's "Yayaya", etc. etc. Nothing really fancy though... My sister is a lot better at it though. She can dance most of the chorus for SNSD's "Gee" and stuff.

I like learning to sing the songs more!! :)

haha, I won't kill you for not loving Big Bang's new song. Just know that I have a sad face hearing this. sad face --> :(
A Need So Beautiful looks awesome! I can't wait to read your review!
I LOVE Korean music and dramas. I went to a manga convention today and I found Boys Over Flowers manga. I was so excited.

YESSSS. Korean dramas used to be my life, and probably will be sometime in the future when I have less work to do. My friend tells me Dream High is good though. *wants to watch* What are your favorites? :)

And that's awesome! What convention?
It was a convention for manga and anime, Nasicon, I think. I really didn't want to go, but my brother wanted me to go and look with me. So I was so glad when I found it. I love anything with Lee Min Ho in it. I like You're Beautiful, Playful Kiss. I want to watch Dream HIgh also.
I'm one of the few who hasn't read The Hunger Games yet, so can't comment about Jennifer, but I am hearing negative buzz all over so guess she wasn't the best choice. Haven't heard anything about A Need So Beautiful, so will keep an eye out for your review. Enjoy! And happy dancing! ;)
Nice mailbox! A Need So Beautiful sounds awesome! Enjoy!

New follower!
LOVE MBLAQ! =D They should just WIN something already. >_< I'm trying to think if 2NE1 has nice dance moves.. I know they're good, but it's mostly their energy that carries them through.

Listen to Infinite's Before the Dawn and Nothing's Over. =D

I KNOW, lol. And now that I think of it... yeah, I can't think of any particular 2NE1 dances that were amazing. But everytime I think 2NE1, I hear Fire, haha.

Yessss, Before the Dawn is one of my favorite 2011 songs. I love the dance too, though the scorpion part is hard (looks awesome though). Infinite always has such meticulous coordination. *o*
Jennifer Lawrence was my least favorite among all the rumored actresses to play Katniss! And look where she is now >.> Anyway, A Need So Beautiful looks very pretty. Happy reading!

That book does look good though:)
AHHH, I READ ROMANCE STORIES ON FICTION PRESS TOO LOL! May I ask what's Lulai? Dancing's an awesome way to keep you moving! For me, I joined the rugby team and that's recent. I feel like I've been slacking but rugby will keep me awake! Especially in the morning, argh. A Need So Beautiful sounds really good, Jenn. I've heard tons about it and I hope you enjoy it :) Have a great week!!
